Resident Diesel Technician

Resident Diesel Technicians support customers with complex on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks (field and customer shop). This role provides expert level customer service to ensure the highest degree of customer experience and satisfaction. The position acts autonomously within company guardrails with an entrepreneurial spirit and represents the client brand as an ambassador. All Resident Technicians will be provided with fully-equipped service trucks. Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for performing complex on-site diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance work on customer's equipment; in-shop repairs will need to be completed according to business needs.

• Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly to the customer and documents on work order.

• May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory.

• Supports Machinery Set-Up and Adjustments.

• Promotes and sells service programs directly to assigned customers.

• Maintains current mechanical and technical knowledge of client and competitive products.

• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments timely and proficiently. Including accounting for time and material used in performing assigned duties.
