Territory Sales Manager

A leading provider of heavy-duty truck and equipment solutions is seeking a high-performing Territory Sales Manager to drive growth across a multi-state region. This organization specializes in supporting municipal and commercial fleet operations with essential equipment used in waste, recycling, and infrastructure services.

This is a confidential search conducted by a third-party recruiting firm.

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding an established book of business while aggressively pursuing new customer opportunities within municipal and commercial markets. This role requires a strong hunter mentality combined with the ability to maintain and grow long-term client relationships.

Manage and grow an existing territory with a focus on revenue expansion

Develop new business within municipal, county, and private commercial accounts

Build relationships with fleet managers, public works directors, and operations leaders

Conduct product presentations and solution-based sales consultations

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction

Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting

Minimum 4+ years of experience in municipal & commercial equipment sales (REQUIRED)

Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets

Experience selling into waste, recycling, construction, or fleet-based industries strongly preferred

Strong understanding of territory management and long sales cycles

Ability to navigate government and private sector procurement processes

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
