Estimating Engineer

Seeking an experienced Estimating Engineer to support metal stamping operations through accurate cost estimating, material optimization, and customer quoting. This role requires strong technical skills, estimating experience, and the ability to collaborate with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Create strip layouts to optimize material usage and estimate tooling costs
• Prepare flat blanks and strip layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Source pricing for materials and outside services
• Develop and maintain detailed cost worksheets
• Work with customers to gather missing technical or commercial information
• Prepare and issue customer quotes
• Research and qualify new suppliers for competitive sourcing

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
• Prior estimating experience required; metal stamping experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Excel, and Word
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator

Schedule & Pay

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
• Pay Range: $37–$50 per hour, DOE
