Commercial Lines Account Manager, Real Estate & Construction

A premier boutique brokerage in North Jersey is seeking a seasoned Account Executive to take ownership of a large real estate and construction-focused book. This role is ideal for a senior professional who thrives in a sophisticated, fast-moving environment and excels at managing complex, high-value accounts.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage large real estate and construction book with accounts up to $8M in premium
• Work closely with principal
• Negotiate and place accounts with captives and carriers
• Comfortably manage large deductible programs and loss sensitive plans
• Navigate NY/NJ labor laws with confidence
• In addition to real estate, manufacturing and transportations, expertise with construction-specific certs, endorsements, loss runs, WIP reports, and multifaceted applications
• Manage individual project policies, coordinate with underwriters, and ensure accurate documentation
• Lead detailed contract reviews, including indemnity clauses, liability limitations, scopes of work, and design-build considerations
• Identify coverage gaps and address excessive client/subcontractor requirements
• Run the book end-to-end using EPIC
