Service Manager

One of GPAC's top clients, a highly reputable equipment company, is seeking a Service Manager to lead and grow their Service Department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced leader with 3-4 years of service management experience and a strong technical background in heavy equipment who is ready to oversee a high-performing team and drive operational success.

Compensation: $70,000–$110,000, full benefits package

The Service Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the Service Department. This individual will oversee day-to-day shop operations, lead a team of 18-20 employees, manage budgets and staffing, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coach the Service Department team to achieve monthly goals and maintain professional service standards.
  • Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management for service technicians.
  • Manage service process, resources, and workflow for efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure shop organization and appearance reflect professionalism and company standards.
  • Build strong customer relationships through consistent communication and quality service.
  • Support technicians in improving technical skills, safety practices, and overall performance.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.

Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of equipment/engine diagnosis and repair experience, preferably in heavy equipment, agriculture, construction, or related industries. (3 years required with right background)
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a service environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
