Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager

A well-established Mechanical/HVAC Subcontractor is seeking a motivated Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support project execution from preconstruction through completion. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and perform on-screen takeoffs
• Assist with project budgeting, pricing, and proposal preparation
• Support project management during production to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
• Coordinate job-site visits with the production team
• Prepare takeoff sheets, estimates, and pricing for specialty projects
• Extract and clarify details from plans as requested
• Respond to customer and internal team inquiries via phone and email
• Assist with general office duties and additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
