Outside Sales Representative – Waste & Recycling Services

Location: Southern Minneapolis (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Base $60,000–$70,000 + Uncapped Commission (Realistic First-Year Earnings $100,000+)

About the Opportunity

A leading waste and recycling company backed by a private equity firm is expanding its footprint in the Twin Cities area and adding an Outside Sales Representative. This is a key new role designed to grow business, strengthen customer relationships, and represent the company across southern Minneapolis.

For years, customer service has managed inbound sales and renewals — now, the company is ready to get out into the field, build partnerships, and secure more long-term business.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage new commercial accounts across businesses and municipalities.
  • Grow existing customer relationships and upsell additional hauling and recycling services.
  • Prospect, network, and close new opportunities within an assigned regional territory.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at local events, trade shows, and community initiatives.
  • Report regularly on sales performance, market activity, and opportunities for expansion.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in waste hauling, recycling, or environmental services sales (required).
  • Knowledge of the southern Minneapolis preferred.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close business in B2B environments.
  • Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven attitude with the discipline to work independently

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $60,000–$70,000 DOE
  • Uncapped Commission: 1-for-1 payout (Sell $3,000 = Earn $3,000 in commission)
  • First-Year Earning Potential: $100,000+
  • Extras: Car and phone allowance
