Mechanical Engineer

Are you a creative problem-solver who loves bringing ideas to life? We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help us build creative, problem-solving, productivity-increasing custom robotics solutions. If you enjoy a hands-on role where you can see your projects through from start to finish, this is a great opportunity for you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and developing custom automation equipment and tooling using SolidWorks 3D CAD.
  • Creating and maintaining 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and all necessary assembly documentation.
  • Researching, selecting, and ordering the right mechanical components and materials for each project.
  • Working closely with our assembly team on the shop floor to ensure designs are built correctly and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborating with controls engineers, robot programmers, and project managers to keep projects on track.
  • Providing hands-on support for assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and installation at customer sites.
  • Monitoring installations at customer sites to ensure optimal fit, function, and safety.
  • Reviewing and optimizing design practices, and contributing new ideas at every stage of a project.
  • Participating in design reviews and the implementation of new tech and processes.
  • What you'll bring to the team:

    • Proficiency in SolidWorks for both 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
    • A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles (fasteners, linkages, pneumatics, etc.).
    • The ability to create and read mechanical drawings and pneumatic schematics.
    • Familiarity with custom part fabrication methods and modern automation standards.
    • A knack for problem-solving and troubleshooting in a hands-on environment.
    • Strong communication skills and a desire to work as part of a collaborative team.
    • Commitment to quality, safety, and always looking for new ways to improve.

Why you'll love working with us:

We blend innovation with camaraderie. From day one, you'll be part of a team that values your input—your smart ideas won't be lost in the shuffle. Explore opportunities to work on exciting robotics projects involving machine tending, custom assembly lines, material handling, and more for customers across a range of industries. Every project is unique, giving you the chance to continuously learn and expand your skill set. Growth isn't just possible, it's expected. Whether you see yourself as a technical expert or a future project lead, we'll support your journey with mentorship and access to top-notch training.

We believe the work you do here matters. You'll see the direct impact of your creativity and expertise as you help factories across the Midwest (and beyond) work smarter, faster, and safer. Plus, you'll enjoy a work environment that's collaborative, encouraging, and just the right amount of fun. If you're looking for a place where your work genuinely makes a difference—both inside the shop and out in the real world!
