Professional Engineer (Pe) In Land Development
The opportunity: Are you ready to take control of your projects, make real-time decisions, and see your work come to life without layers of red tape?
This opportunity is with a smaller, privately held engineering firm where you have the freedom to lead — not just follow a process.
We're seeking a professional engineer (pe) experienced in land development who wants more ownership over their work and direct influence on project outcomes.
You'll join a team with a strong backlog of private and public development projects, from 1-acre commercial sites to 3,000-acre master-planned communities — valued anywhere from $50,000 to several million dollars.
Why this role stands out:
- More control. Make decisions without waiting for endless approvals — your judgment is trusted here.
- Manage less, do more. Lead a small, focused team and manage 10–12 projects at once, allowing you to stay deeply involved in both the technical and leadership sides.
- Lean & agile environment. Fewer layers, fewer rules, and more opportunities to drive results.
- Strong, stable backlog. A diverse pipeline of land development projects ensures stability and long-term growth.
- Rewarding compensation. Competitive salary range of $120k–$200k + bonus, reflecting your expertise and leadership.
What you'll do:
- Lead multidisciplinary land development projects from concept to completion.
- Oversee site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management.
- Manage and mentor a small team of engineers and designers.
- Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and contractors to move projects forward efficiently.
- Balance technical precision with project deadlines — and have the autonomy to make it happen.
Ideal candidate:
- Licensed professional engineer (pe)
- 8+ years of experience in land development or site civil design
- Strong technical background in grading, utilities, stormwater, and permitting
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple active projects
- Looking for a long-term home where performance, not bureaucracy, drives success
Join a firm where you can truly lead. If you're tired of being just another cog in a big machine, this is your chance to make a real impact — on your projects, your team, and your career.
