HVAC Operations Manager

One of the top mechanical company is looking to add a HVAC Operations Manager to their team!

Tasks & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  1. Studies, interprets and conveys plan specifications and drawings
  2. Oversee and direct construction projects to completion
  3. Creates, executes and manages work plans and scope and revises as appropriate
  4. Review projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and update estimate costs
  5. Coordinate and direct all construction workers and subcontractors
  6. Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
  7. Meet contractual conditions of performance
  8. Reviews and inspects work progress to provide daily reports and relay all communications timely
  9. Provide two (2) week look a heads for distribution as needed
  10. Create and prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  11. Negotiate terms of agreements/sub agreements and understand contracts
  12. Obtains permits and licenses
  13. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  14. Ensure quality construction standards and techniques
  15. Ensures all project documentation is complete and current
  16. Effectively applies company methodologies and enforces project standards
  17. Prepares preliminary project schedule, material lists, and budgets resources
  18. Ensures all project financial goals and works towards maintaining profitability
  19. Conducts inspections and coordinates same
  20. Identifies potential change orders (RFC) and prepares drafts
  21. Follows up on change orders
  22. Attends project, pre-bid, and project kickoff meetings for coordination
  23. Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors
  24. Coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
  25. Resolve complaints and grievances within job work force
  26. Resolve construction problems and improve construction methods
  27. Manage multiple projects in various phases of construction
  28. Provides feedback regarding continuous process improvements to meet and exceed standards
  29. Assists in development on initial team needs/requirements at start of jobs
  30. Confirm everything needed is onsite prior to mobilization
  31. Orders and arranges for additional manpower
  32. Backfills as appropriate for HVAC hands on duties, including occasional service calls
  33. Provides Project support to the office as requested

Licenses/Certifications: Must have:

  • NJ HVAC License
  • 10 Hour OSHA minimum, 30 hour preferred
  • EPA Certification
  • Valid driver license with good driving record
  • Other Equipment operation licenses as required
