Food Service Director – New York, New York - Skilled Nursing Facility

We are seeking an experienced Food Service Director to lead dietary operations within a skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for supervising food service staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality, resident-centered dining.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule food service staff
• Oversee food preparation, storage, sanitation, and tray accuracy
• Manage ordering, purchasing, and inventory
• Assist on tray line as needed
• Coordinate food service for special events
• Lead staff training and orientation

Qualifications

• CDM certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Long-term care or healthcare food service experience strongly preferred
• ServSafe and/or Sodexo certification preferred
• Knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation
• Strong leadership and communication skills
