Field Service Representative

A proud Mountaineer specialty manufacturer has an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Representative. This position is ideal for a mechanically skilled professional with strong communication abilities (both verbal and written) who is comfortable assembling equipment at client sites throughout the Western Hemisphere. This role, based in the Fairmont West Virginia area, requires regular travel as well as high mechanical aptitude and a professional appearance and demeanor.

Field Service Representative Responsibilities

  • Pre-assembly and installation of equipment at vendor and customer sites.
  • Training customer operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinating customer spare part needs with the Parts Manager.
  • Assisting with spare parts installation, upgrades, and equipment rebuilding.
  • Preparing field service reports for invoicing and future reference.
  • Supporting electrical supplier during installation and commissioning.
  • Communicating equipment developments and technology updates to customers.
  • Providing customer feedback to Sales regarding spare parts and equipment design.
  • Maintaining company vehicles and assisting with spare parts shipments.
  • Performing miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Field Service Representative Requirements:

  • Good customer service skills and professional appearance
  • Comfort speaking as company representative with a line worker, manager, or client's CEO
  • 4-6 years of experience in maintenance or service role
  • Good Mechanical Aptitude and Strong Writing Ability
  • Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, electrical systems, and powertrain components, etc. associated with assembly, integration, and service of specialized equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of inventory management and safe work best practices
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
