Experienced PCA Retail Sales Agronomist
GPAC has partnered with a well-known and reputable Agronomy Company in the area who is looking to add an Experienced PCA Retail Sales Agronomist to join their team. They offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes a competitive base salary, great commissions, health insurance, a company vehicle, 401K, PTO and more. The company is headquartered in San Joaquin County and covers territories from the North Central Valley to Northern California so travel throughout the area will be required.
Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:
- Make fertilizer, chemical and seed recommendations to growers and farmers
- Maintain current business and facilitate new positive long-term relationships with customers to create and promote repeat business
- Prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals to ensure successful transactions
- Forecast supply requirements by month and annual basis
- Perform a variety of agronomic duties independently
- Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology.
Sales Agronomist Qualifications:
- 5+ years of agronomy sales related experience
- Must be driven, self-motivated, and have a proven track record of job stability
- Established relationships with growers or a book of business
- A degree in Agriculture
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Must be PCA licensed
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and currently reside in the region (out of area candidates will not be considered regardless of experience)
