Employee Benefit Account Manager

We are looking for an experienced Employee Benefit Account Manager with strong knowledge of various carriers, quotes, proposals, new business, and renewals. Enjoy a supportive and flexible work environment with competitive compensation and benefits.

Primary Job Purpose:

Manage an assigned block of Employee Benefits business, including fully insured, partially self-funded, or self-insured accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports.
  • Compare health plan benefits and costs.
  • Calculate employee contributions and develop strategies to meet budgetary goals.
  • Prepare annual client service plans.
  • Conduct open enrollment meetings, health fairs, and webinars.
  • Collect client information for HIB technology offerings.
  • Author correspondence, communication materials, and compliance notices.
  • Negotiate rates and benefits with carriers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Core Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to assist Producers in meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits/health plan implementation and administration.
  • Familiarity with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other health insurance regulations.
  • Ability to negotiate rates and benefits with carriers.
  • High School diploma required; College degree preferred.
  • Life and Disability license required.
  • 2+ years of experience in group health insurance or benefit brokerage/consulting.
