Civil Engineer / Project Manager
A well-established, multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to lead diverse land development projects—including residential, commercial, industrial, adaptive re-use, and mixed-use work—from concept through construction support. This role offers full lifecycle project ownership, close collaboration with developers, architects, and internal teams, and the opportunity to mentor junior staff and grow into expanded leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage civil/site development projects from early planning through construction support.
- Lead design for grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, erosion control, and roadway elements.
- Oversee project schedules, coordination, documentation, permitting, and QA/QC.
- Produce and review plans, calculations, and reports with strong attention to technical accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, developers, contractors, and public agencies.
- Support rezoning efforts, presentations, and stakeholder communication.
- Mentor junior staff and help guide project teams.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering; P.E. license (or ability to obtain).
- 5+ years of land development experience (residential, commercial, industrial, adaptive re-use, or mixed-use).
- Strong technical design skills in grading, stormwater, drainage, utilities, and plan production.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and common hydrology/hydraulics software.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
- Detail-oriented and effective in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
