Automation Engineer

We're looking for an Automation Engineer to help design, build, and improve custom automated manufacturing systems. If you love hands-on problem-solving, working with robotics and PLCs, and seeing your designs come to life on the shop floor, this is the role for you!

Location: Tea, SD

Salary: $90,000–$120,000

What You'll Do

• Design and develop custom automation systems and manufacturing cells
• Program and support industrial robots for welding, material handling, and finishing
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs
• Integrate sensors, vision systems, conveyors, and safety devices
• Test, debug, and commission equipment, including on-site startup
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to solve real-world manufacturing challenges

What You Bring

• Degree or experience in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience with industrial robotics and PLC-based control systems
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Fanuc, ABB, or KUKA robots
• Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs
