Marketing and Integration Consultant (18 Month Contract)

At Gore Mutual, we've always set ourselves apart as a modern mutual that does good. Now, we're proudly building on that legacy to transform our company—and our industry—for the better.

Effective January 1, 2026, Gore has joined Beneva—the country's largest mutual insurance company—as part of its Property & Casualty operations in Ontario and Western Canada. During 2026, Gore will combine its operations with Unica Insurance, Beneva's Ontario-based subsidiary specializing in niche commercial and personal insurance, creating a stronger, more diversified mutual insurer with greater scale and long-term stability.

Every decision and investment remains anchored in long-term benefits to customers, members, and communities. Come join us.

The Marketing and Integration Consultant plays a critical role in supporting Gore Mutual's transition to the Beneva brand over a defined 18-month integration period. This role is responsible for planning and executing marketing, brand, and communications activities that support onboarding, launch, broker engagement, and digital brand transition milestones. Operating at the intersection of marketing execution, brand stewardship, change management communications, and strategic communications planning, this role ensures complex organizational change is translated into clear, sequenced, and audience-appropriate marketing actions. Working closely with Marketing & Communications leadership, Business Leads, the Integration Management Office (IMO), internal stakeholders, and external agencies, the role supports broker, customer, and employee understanding while maintaining brand continuity and trust during the transition. This position is best suited to a marketing and communications generalist with experience supporting mergers, integrations, rebrands, or enterprise transformations, who can manage multiple workstreams, operate effectively in ambiguity, and deliver disciplined execution across channels.

What you will do:

  • Support marketing and communications activities tied to onboarding and launch milestones related to the Gore-to-Beneva brand transition.
  • Partner with the Business Lead (BL) for marketing, pre-launch, and onboarding to support launch readiness and sequencing.
  • Contribute to customer and broker launch communications, including letters/email, teaser materials, briefings, and webinars.
  • Support storytelling and brand narrative assets such as video content and "who is Beneva" materials.
  • Assist with employee-facing brand onboarding initiatives, including preview labs, internal brand experiences, and signature transition events.
  • Apply change management principles to ensure launch activities support awareness, understanding, and adoption.
  • Act as the marketing subject matter expert supporting broker and distribution impacts of the brand transition.
  • Support updates to broker-facing platforms and tools, including portals and distribution materials.
  • Coordinate updates to marketing assets such as product brochures, feature sheets, campaigns, swag, events, and physical assets.
  • Ensure broker marketing and distribution tools reflect approved brand, messaging, and transition timing.
  • Partner with internal teams to align broker communications with business priorities.
  • Support articles, newsletters, and other broker-facing content tied to integration milestones.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for website and digital brand impacts during the transition period.
  • Coordinate updates to corporate websites, microsites, and digital experiences.
  • Support transition-related website content such as welcome pages, FAQs, banners, and interim brand messaging.
  • Work with Beneva digital teams to ensure alignment across platforms during the transition.
  • Support social media and digital content updates related to brand and onboarding milestones.
  • Apply change-aware sequencing to reduce confusion and ensure clarity across digital touchpoints.
  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications plans aligned to enterprise integration priorities.
  • Translate integration and change strategy into actionable marketing and communications plans.
  • Develop clear, structured briefs for internal teams and external agencies.
  • Ensure alignment across marketing, brand, and communications activities throughout the transition.
  • Balance interim-state and future-state needs in planning and execution.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and readiness considerations related to marketing and brand activities.
  • Coordinate delivery of assigned marketing and brand workstreams within the broader integration program.
  • Manage assigned deliverables, timelines, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate agency execution, ensuring scope, timing, and outputs align with approved plans.
  • Prepare updates, materials, and reporting for leadership and integration governance forums.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles.
  • Experience supporting mergers, integrations, rebrands, or enterprise transformations.
  • Experience in B2B marketing; insurance or financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting broker or distribution-led business models.
  • Experience managing agencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations undergoing change.
  • Change Management & Strategic Communications Planning
  • Brand & Marketing Generalist Expertise
  • Project & Program Management
  • Stakeholder & Agency Management
  • Broker & Insurance Fluency
  • Strong Written & Verbal Communication
  • Judgment, Adaptability, and Comfort with Ambiguity
  • Attention to Detail and Execution Discipline
