We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

Our team empowers Google's compute infrastructure by delivering management of critical resources within Borglet (CPU, Memory and related types), serving both Shared compute infrastructure and Google Compute Engine (GCE) fleets. We are part of the broader Borglet team, Google's node management agent. We are a strong, systems-heavy team that works closely with compute infrastructure cluster management software, the kernel, with hardware platforms and user applications. This places us in a key position in infrastructure projects and has enabled us to play a critical role in our fast-growing Google Cloud business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
