Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Google Global Infrastructure (GGI) team is driven by a mission to Enable the world's imagination with dependable, universal connectivity. We are responsible for the full lifecycle of a web-scale network that reaches from core datacenters to edge locations, providing the foundation for services like Gemini, Gmail, Search, and YouTube, while also supporting Cloud Networking for GCP customers and Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) initiatives.

The GGI Security team is a specialized team dedicated to managing security impacts at this immense scale. We are developing Vulnerability Management systems for network devices. We are protecting the software supply chain against unauthorized persistent access. We are enhancing visibility, logging, and detection across the GGI network fleet. We are remediating and upgrading insecure authentication protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
