Health Platform team's mission is building scalable and reliable back-end systems powered by intuitive automation solutions to reduce manual effort and ensure consistency across services. We work on streamlining development workflows, improving code quality, accelerating the delivery of new features and services through the creation and maintenance of automated tools and processes.
The Health Platforms and Devices team builds innovative products and services that help our users live longer, healthier lives. We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.
Responsibilities include triaging product or system issues and debugging/tracking/resolving by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. Design, develop, and maintain backend services and automation tools using Python/Java, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance. Write product or system development code. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies. Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback. Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
