As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

The Cloud Pub/Sub team is focused on integrating the product more deeply into Google Cloud Platform and the Data Analytics/BigQuery platform (sometimes called BigQuery Quantum). This is on top of improvements to Cloud Pub/Sub to make it more scalable, available, and efficient. Given that our product spans both core infrastructure and an external customer-facing product, we provide opportunities and value impact of many different types of distributed systems programming at vast scale with high availability requirements. We provide customer empathy by understanding and satisfying internal+external customer needs. We troubleshoot and meet with internal+external customers to help them improve their experience with our products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
