As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google Cloud's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. You will anticipate our customer needs and be empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
We are riding the latest advancements in data analytics, integrating with technologies like Apache Iceberg and Apache Delta. Our work impacts the user experience across the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data analytics landscape. We collaborate with partner teams like Dataplex and Dataproc. As a member of our small and early-stage team, you will have excellent learning and growth opportunities. You'll be a part of the BigQuery team, where you'll be empowered to design, implement, launch and land large-scale, impactful projects with the necessary support and guidance, and a pipeline of enterprise customers waiting to use your features. You'll be instrumental in shaping the architecture and future of BigQuery's metadata management capabilities. This particular position is focused around improving Federation support for BigLake.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
