This role sits on the Policy Campaigns Marketing team. This team leads the marketing response and coordination for some of the biggest policy issues impacting the business. The role involves working closely with the cross-functional team to develop and deploy marketing strategy and tactics to improve regulatory outcomes for the business. Tactics include research, collateral for KOFs, third-party engagement, events, proactive story telling, and planning for escalation scenarios. Key Stakeholders: Regional and Local brand marketers and the GAPP Campaigns team.
In this role, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to craft messaging and develop programs that engage key ally groups, consumers and key opinion formers alike. Through strategic scenario planning and the use of data-driven insights you will build narratives to explain Google's position across policy topic areas, and deploy a wide-range of tactics including collateral, media campaigns and events. You will be a consummate communicator who is at ease telling stories across a variety of mediums (video, blog posts, social, presentations, etc.) and are excited about working at the intersection of technology and policy.
You will have creative ideas on how to talk to an audience in a non-traditional way. You will be skilled at juggling multiple priorities, are nimble, can grow in ambiguity, and put an emphasis on tracking progress against defined goals. Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
