Trust and Safety (T&S) Ads Account Takeover's main objective is to prevent damage to Google Users and advertisers through accounts by focusing on intelligence that will enable deploying upstream protections and defenses that are focus on developing operational processes. In this role, you will help protect Google Ads accounts and will combine different types of protections and approaches to security.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google's products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed, qualitative and quantitative understanding of the Ads account takeover threat landscape, including designing and improving additional data collection, processes and quality measures.
• Design and build early warning alerts for novel and changing threats, by researching, understanding and experimenting with attacker operations and a thorough understanding of attacker interactions with our systems.
• Manage the response to incidents impacting Google Ads Accounts, including severe incidents, in collaboration with our partner teams (e.g., AdsSafety, AdsPlatforms, Account Security).
• Work with our vendor team (located in Hyderabad) to grow the operational work required to protect Google Ads accounts, such as managing escalations and alerts, and maintaining the ground truth quality. Provide the training required and work with Ads Safety to get tooling improvements when needed.
• Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage/holidays.
