As our Manufacturing Sustaining Engineer, you are a core member of our Manufacturing Engineering & Technology team, which is responsible for sustaining engineering across assigned product families.

You will ensure technical aspects of sustaining epics, production readiness for products handed over from NPI, and support Manufacturing Quality on non-conformances.

At our high-tech production facility in Præstø on the east coast of Zealand in Denmark, you will become part of an organization of about 100 colleagues within production, operations, supply chain, and administration. We are part of GN Store Nord, which has its global headquarters in Ballerup.

You will report to Senior Technical Manager, Flemming Emstrup Olesen, who is physically located in Præstø.

At GN Hearing, we create advanced hearing aid solutions to improve the lives of people with hearing challenges. It all begins at Component Manufacturing in Præstø, where we produce essential components that contribute to the quality of our hearing aids. Therefore, our ability to deliver is vital.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

• Provide technical leadership for sustaining epics and cross-functional sustaining programs; manage engineering change control (ECOs) and ensure timely updates to work instructions, SOPs and test plans.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) for production readiness and handover; coordinate release activities and run Production Performance Reviews, presenting findings and actions to NPI and QA stakeholders.
• Create, execute and document qualification plans for new suppliers, new materials and EOL transitions; perform required verification and validation activities.
• Manage failure analysis and root-cause investigations for in-production issues; define and implement containment, corrective and preventive actions and support Manufacturing Quality on nonconformance handling.
• Maintain and update risk assessments (FMEA/DFx), ensure continuous improvement of process capability, yield and test coverage, and collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and suppliers to resolve technical issues and recommend tooling/process changes.

To thrive in the role, we imagine that you:

• A technical educational background within Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related fields of studies.
• Have some years of relevant experience in a manufacturing engineering or sustaining role.
• Possess process understanding and practical electronics knowledge.
• Experience with process capability assessment and data analysis (Cp/Cpk, SPC).
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and IPC standards and working in regulated medical device environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel advanced skills preferred).
• Familiarity with business systems such as D4, Agile and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Skilled in solving problems through data and analytical reasoning.
• Communication skills, able to present technical findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Quality oriented mindset with attention to detail.
• Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken).

At a personal level, we imagine that you are structured, have a methodical approach to your work. Cooperative — versatile in engaging with different departments and inspiring others without formal authority.

You should be capable of working in an agile environment during periods of expansion.
