✨ About The Role
- The Staff Software Engineer will provide technical leadership to a distributed engineering team to design and enhance GlossGenius product offerings
- Responsibilities include advising the leadership team on key technology and product roadmap considerations, owning problems from end to end, and working with Product Managers to prioritize roadmap initiatives
- The role involves driving engineering standards forward, developing technical details behind high-level business requirements, and mentoring newer team members
- The Staff Software Engineer will also architect tools, services, and systems using well-accepted design patterns to allow for iterative, autonomous development and future scaling
- Upholding GlossGenius's high standards for engineering and product quality is a key aspect of this role
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with over 7 years of experience, including 3+ years in technical leadership roles
- Strong background in backend development and distributed systems environments, with a preference for those with payments-related experience
- Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and coordinate across teams to deliver critical products
- Skilled in developing long-term roadmaps and technical visions to solve complex user problems
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment and continuously learning and growing to improve both personal and team performance
