Ecommerce Technical Support Engineer

Overall Objectives Of The Role

Responsibilities

Product / Technical:

  1. Technical support on Digital Commerce and Internet Payment Gateway.
  2. Facilitate Client development testing with set up of sandbox accounts, technical documentation, sample code and coding support. Provide guidance to the client during testing and pre-launch activities.
  3. Provide technical support / troubleshooting to the production merchants.

Consulting / Process / People:

  • Manage communications and escalations with the merchants, as well as with internal organizations within Global Payments.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Degree in IT or other related disciplines.
  • Fluency (oral and written) in Chinese and English. Additional language(s) are highly valued.
  • 1-2 year working experience within Merchant technical services or Technical Support role.
  • Understanding of web technologies, including the HTTP protocol and TCP/IP.
  • Experience with mobile operating systems, such as Android and iOS, is a strong plus. Experience with relational databases is preferred.
  • Experience with web technologies, development languages and environments, including 1 or more of the following: NodesJS, Java JSP, Ruby, Python, VB, .Net, MySQL, SQL Server, PHP, ASP, Windows Servers, Unix/Linux, XML, SOAP, REST. Ability to write scripts and using POSTMAN is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, Excel, Access DB.
  • Good Client facing and personal interaction skills are successful requirements for this position.
  • Experience with MIGS, MPGS and CyberSource payment gateway merchant onboarding and technical support to merchants is a strong plus.
  • Good team player.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic and open-minded.
