Director, Terminal Operations
The Director, Terminal Operations is part of the Terminal Operations team reporting to the Vice President of Terminal Operations. The Director of Operations is responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation of the Complex which includes product between pipelines, rail cars, tanker trucks, marine and storage tanks. This position has direct accountability for overall Complex performance specifically relating to operations excellence, product quality, measurement, regulatory compliance, and expense management. The job has requirements for 24 hour on call availability with the need to work nights and weekends on a periodic basis.

"Gauges" of Responsibility
- Manage a team of managers at multiple terminals responsible for all personnel within the complex.
- Provide leadership direction to and through each Terminal Manager down to the local terminal operators in the following areas: Operations Procedures and Standards, Terminal reliability, measurement, incident investigations (including root cause analysis), training, Health and Safety, etc.
- Responsible for planning annual OPEX and proposed CAPEX budgets.
- Serve as the primary conduit for communications between Terminal Operations and other parts of the enterprise including Technical, Fuels Sales & Marketing, Supply Operations, Trading, Marine/Land logistics, Quality Assurance, etc.
- Ensures the appropriate performance KPIs are in place to achieve the overall goals for the Supply & Logistics organization.
- Ensures the operation of the Complex in accordance with policy and in compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations.
- Understand and maintain personal and team compliance with all corporate and HR policies and procedures.
- Lead measurement and monthly loss/gain performance.
- Ensure product quality issues and concerns are identified, investigated and resolved.
- Set the Complex goals regarding operational reliability and cost control.
- Strong customer focuses both externally and internally, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities with a focus on meeting the Terminal and Pipeline Operations goals.
- Actively manage and develop direct reports to take on roles of increasing responsibility.

- Travel to terminals and other locations 25%-50%.

Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in terminal operations.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement all HSSE and regulatory requirements.
- Must have a great attitude, flexible, adaptable and highly motivated.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong teams with a focus on Operational Excellence.
- Previous experience managing terminal, pipeline, and marine operations.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Education Requirement
- Preferred vocational or technical education in a related field such as IT, engineering, or computer science.
