Summary of Role
GlobalFoundries is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Sales team as a Sales Engineering Intern. This internship offers hands-on experience in sales engineering, with a focus on developing core sales competencies, building customer engagement skills, and gaining in-depth knowledge of our products and market landscape.
Essential Responsibilities Include
- Develop a strong understanding of GlobalFoundries' key technology offerings and analyze customer product portfolios to identify alignment opportunities, in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis by reviewing customer and competitor press releases, earnings calls, financial statements, and industry reports.
- Support daily business operations and long-range planning by assisting with internal processes, tracking milestones, and contributing to client-facing initiatives alongside the Account Manager.
- Participate in internal stakeholder meetings—including business reviews, sales strategy sessions, and supply discussions—to stay aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
Other Responsibilities
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
- At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited degree program.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning & organizational skills.
- Experience or coursework in analog or digital circuit design; a strong interest in sales strategy and competitive analysis is a plus.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough research, apply advanced analytical techniques, and solve complex problems effectively.
