Your job As Process Integration Engineer Feol (Front End of Line) you will be part of the Feol Integration department, participating in developing, maintaining and improving advanced high-volume manufacturing technologies in GF's state-of-the-art 300mm wafer fab (Fab1) in Dresden, Germany. Additionally, process transfer and integration module development activities are part of our job. Reporting to the Fab1 Feol Process Integration management, the primary responsibility of this position is to manage the Feol part of an integrated CMOS process flow, drive improvements to enhance reliability, yield and manufacturability of this flow. Furthermore, your tasks include the support of flawless processing of prototypes and other critical customer lots.

Your specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Data analysis of electrical and physical parameters of a Feol module
  • Design and execution of experiments in this Feol module
  • Improvements in yield, reliability and manufacturability
  • Participation in cross-functional teams to solve issues in yield, electrical or reliability parameters or in critical dimensions
  • Continuous improvement projects for process stability and cost reduction
  • Development of new technology features based on existing platforms

Required qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or other relevant technical discipline is required; PhD will be beneficial
  • Solid knowledge of CMOS technology and its key techniques, such as CVD, lithography, RIE, etc.
  • Professional experience in individual process modules or process integration is a plus
  • Solid foundation in statistics, data analysis techniques and tools
  • Both, the ability to work in cross-functional teams as well as to work independently is a prerequisite
  • Advanced English skills are required; German language skills will be beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal competences are required
  • Previous exposure to a multi-cultural environment is a plus
