Dataops Engineer - Remote Eligible

Start.io is a mobile marketing and audience platform that empowers the mobile app ecosystem. With direct integration into over 500,000 monthly active mobile apps, our platform processes enormous volumes of first-party data to drive intelligent, real-time decisions and fuel growth for our partners.

We are looking for a Dataops to join our team.

Requirements:

• Experience writing complex queries in SQL – 3 years;
• Experience creating complex processes using Python – 2 years;
• Relevant degree or studies (Information Systems / Industrial Engineering /etc);
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to translate business requirements into a technical solution;
• Self-learner, responsible and independent;
• English at very high level and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop, and optimize data integration pipelines and data aggregations;
• Work closely with business, data, product and tech teams;
• Coding in Python, SQL and light BASH;
• Orchestration in Jenkins and Airflow;
• End-to-end responsibility for processes – design, develop, test, monitor;
• Share responsibilities of DBA, managing 2 large and complex Vertica Database clusters;
• Monitoring and troubleshooting issues such as slowness in the cluster, heavy load, and slow queries;
• Includes sharing on-call duties with team members in case of production incidents.
