We invite you to build, together with us, the core banking system that moves thousands of dollars every second around the world. At Global66, your work has a direct impact: improving the quality of life for people and businesses through cutting-edge technological financial products and services.
The Global66 Tribe: We are a diverse tribe of more than 350 partners in Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Argentina. We believe in service that does not recognize borders and have an undeniable passion for what we do. Here, we have a sense of group and celebrate each achievement with the same intensity as a sports triumph.
At Global66, we are building a global ecosystem of customer-centric financial services. Our philosophy is simple: "Work Backwards from Your Customer". We always ask ourselves what is best for the customer and design the solution.
The DevOps at Global66 aims to improve the developer experience through the design, development, and maintenance of the infrastructure and processes that allow for the continuous deployment of the product, ensuring speed, security, and reliability in the production infrastructure.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Infrastructure and CI/CD: The DevOps Engineer aims to maintain and improve the cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines of Global66, ensuring:
Reliable infrastructure: The infrastructure must be scalable, resilient, and implemented as code (IaC).
Efficient pipelines: The CI/CD pipelines must be fast, automated, and reliable to facilitate frequent deployments.
Developer experience: The processes must allow developers to work agilely without technical friction.
Secure deployments: Implement deployment strategies that minimize risk (blue-green, automatic rollback).
Observability and Reliability: The DevOps Engineer collaborates closely with the Production Management team to ensure the reliability of the systems:
Instrumentation: Ensure that all applications have adequate logging, metrics, and tracing to facilitate quick problem detection.
Proactive monitoring: Set up monitoring systems and alerts that allow the Production Management team to detect problems before they affect users.
Performance analysis: Review application and infrastructure metrics and propose optimizations.
Capacity planning: Anticipate scaling needs based on trends and usage projections.
Incident Management: The DevOps Engineer acts as technical support for the Production Management team in incidents related to infrastructure:
Quick response: Be available to provide technical support in incidents that affect the operation or experience of the client.
Deep troubleshooting: Investigate root causes of incidents related to infrastructure, deployments, or performance.
Collaboration in resolution: Work with Production Management in implementing technical solutions.
Continuous improvement: Participate in post-mortems, identify technical improvements (automation, monitoring, architecture) to prevent recurrence.
Availability: Be available for critical emergencies when necessary.
Security (DevSecOps):
Integrate security in CI/CD: Implement automated security controls in pipelines (vulnerability analysis, secret management).
Protect systems: Ensure that both the infrastructure and applications are protected against cybersecurity threats.
Updates: Proactively maintain systems with security patches.
Respect and promote our work standards: Global66 has standards that regulate the way of working. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for respecting and promoting these processes:
Technical debt: Discover it in infrastructure and CI/CD, register it, prioritize it, and resolve it.
PR review: Participate in the review of PRs related to infrastructure, IaC, and configurations.
Production support: Collaborate with Production Management in troubleshooting and quick resolution of incidents.
Onboarding: Support the technical onboarding of new members in infrastructure, CI/CD, and deployment topics.
Documentation: Maintain updated documentation of infrastructure, processes, runbooks, and playbooks to facilitate everyone's work.
This is an AI-First position. We want to turn Global66 into an AI-First company. The DevOps Engineer role is an important component of this transformation: through deep inclusion of AI tools, we expect to increase our delivery capacity by an order of 5x. The Global66 DevOps must incorporate AI tools into their daily work deeply: code generation via autocomplete, code generation via vibe coding, functional tests with usage simulation, and others.
