Part-Time Resident Services Coordinator

Ginger Cove is currently seeking a Part-Time Resident Services Coordinator (20-27 hours a week; occasional weekend hours). The Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for working in accordance with established policies and procedures and/or specific instructions from the Director of Resident Services. Helps plan, coordinate and direct a full range of activities for all residents to enhance the active, vibrant, engaging and well-rounded lifestyle of Ginger Cove.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruits, plans, organizes, implements and oversees a full calendar of activities, to meet the diverse needs of residents in each of the following realms: social, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual.
- Initiates contact and works directly with quality outside vendors (artists, entertainers, guest speakers, musicians, etc.) for resident events.
- Completes a pre-planning and post event assessment for events.
- Designs flyers and promotional materials for events.
- Engages daily with the Independent Living Community and supports the resident committees, clubs and activity groups.
- Maintains Resident Services activities/events within the assigned budget; keeping record of expenditures and requests for reimbursement in a timely manner.
- Work with Independent Living Resident Services Team in planning, implementing and ensuring connectivity of events and activities including Zoom classes, Movies, Music, Community Apps and more.
- Facilitate technology set up for events, meetings, and entertainment on campus and remotely.
- Work closely with office staff and resident leaders on community events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in event planning, organization, and oversight.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize, supervise, and delegate effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Demonstrated tact, responsiveness, and concern when interacting with residents, families, and team members.
- Flexible work schedule, including availability on weekends as needed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with large teams and across departments.
- Experience with basic software installation and problem solving.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Apple products, and Zoom.
- Must possess concern, responsiveness, and tact when dealing with residents, their families, and employees.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with others to help colleagues achieve respective goals for our residents.
- Passion and knowledge working with Seniors in a retirement community.
