As the Director of Technical Marketing Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for translating Gigamon's vision into real-world solutions. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, sales, and customers to develop and showcase innovative network visibility and security use cases. Your leadership will drive the creation of technical collateral, enablement content, and prototype solutions that demonstrate the value of Gigamon's platform. This role is pivotal in shaping product direction and ensuring our customers and field teams are equipped to leverage the latest advancements in network observability and security.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of Technical Marketing Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Develop and deliver compelling demos, labs, and enablement materials that highlight Gigamon's capabilities across packet-based, security, and AI-driven use cases.
- Evaluate, document, and demonstrate integrations with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security solutions.
- Create technical collateral such as demo videos, blogs, deployment guides, and competitive analysis reports.
- Collaborate with partners and customers to validate joint solutions and prototype advanced use cases.
- Experiment with and prototype future network visibility solutions, influencing product direction.
- Support global field teams and customers through occasional travel (approximately every 6–8 weeks).
What You've Done
- Earned a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or possess equivalent real-world expertise.
- Accumulated 5+ years of people management experience, leading technical teams.
- Demonstrated strong hands-on networking knowledge, with experience in virtual, cloud, and containerized environments.
- Developed and delivered technical enablement content and collateral for diverse audiences.
- (Preferred) Gained experience in security or DevOps, and/or possess knowledge of AI technologies.

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role, based at Gigamon's Santa Clara, CA, Headquarters office, is $192,000 to $240,000, with an opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to the terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the company’s compensation practices.
