We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Engineering Geologist to join our team in Newcastle or Tuggerah. While working alongside our industry leaders, you'll have a balance of technical work, project management, leadership and client-facing problem solving, delivering milestone projects from the Hawkesbury River and Orange up to the Queensland border.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Leading an extensive range of geotechnical projects across the Northern NSW region, with opportunity to deliver nationally and internationally.
- Interpretation and assessment of data to develop and implement practical and commercial solutions.
- Conducting or directing geotechnical analyses in areas such as slope stability and remediation, footings, foundation treatments, ground retention, and pavement thickness design.
- Preparing and reviewing proposals and technical reports.
- Interacting with clients through pursuit, tendering and delivery phases of projects, along with opportunities to address business development tasks
- Providing technical mentoring for junior team members to build and develop their skills
What you will bring to the team:
- Relevant qualifications in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology, with post-graduate study advantageous.
- At least 8 years' experience in geotechnical consulting and infrastructure projects.
- Strong skills in investigation, interpretation, design, and delivery of geotechnical solutions.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, prioritise tasks, and manage projects independently.
- Excellent client collaboration, project management, and analytical skills using standard industry methods.
