Living and working in Tasmania offers a unique lifestyle that blends professional growth with natural beauty. Tasmania provides an inspiring backdrop for your career.

In Tasmania, our team working on water and wastewater treatment, network optimization, and infrastructure upgrades is on the lookout for our next graduate in 2026! Based out of our Hobart office, and with a degree in Chemical/Process Engineering with an interest in the Water sector, your passion for solving complex treatment challenges and improving operational efficiency will serve you well in this role.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to a significant long-term program of works with a major utility client, supporting the delivery of impactful water infrastructure projects over the next decade.

Here's a bit more about what you'll be doing:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Supporting the design and optimization of treatment processes, including biological, chemical, and physical systems.
  • Assisting in the development of process models, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand operational needs and contribute to sustainable infrastructure outcomes.
  • Staying up to date with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in process engineering.

Our two-year Graduate Development Program is designed to give you a smooth start to your consulting career. Alongside your peers, managers, and mentors, we'll help you detangle any challenges along the way.

  • Video interviews: If you make it through the first stage, you'll record some answers to a few straightforward questions.
  • Meet the team: Next, you'll have a face-to-face or virtual interview with your prospective team.
  • Psychometric assessments: These quick tests give us a glimpse into how you like to work and your strengths in relation to the role.
  • Offer: Congratulations! If you're successful, we'll talk through all the finer details, like salary, your start date, and our background checking process.

We're committed to being as inclusive as possible and giving everyone an equitable chance of getting through our application process. If you identify as someone who is neurodiverse or have a disability and need adjustments to any part of the process, let us know in your application form—we're here to help.

Most of our full-time roles kick off in February 2026, though some teams might have earlier start dates in mid-2025. Plus, there might also be casual work opportunities throughout your final year of study to give you a head start.

If you've got your documents polished and prepped, the application should only take 10-15 minutes. Apply now and take the first step toward an exciting career in consulting.
