Sr. Security Engineer Contract/ Contract To Hire Atlanta, Ga

Responsibilities:

• Lead comprehensive security assessments of new tools, applications, and systems to identify gaps against Information Security Standards and industry best practices.
• Document findings and provide actionable recommendations through detailed, professional reports.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in information security, offering technical leadership and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with solution architects to design IT processes and implement technical controls that ensure compliance Information Security Standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technology field.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in information security, risk management, or IT compliance.
• One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, GSEC, CRISC, CISM, CISA.
• Proven experience with security programs, audits, assessments, and risk management practices.
• Strong understanding of industry-standard security frameworks such as NIST, Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model (C2M2), CIS Critical Security Controls, etc.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong report writing and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams and departments.
• Effective multitasking and time management skills to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
