Service Technician

The Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains small engines used in various equipment like lawnmowers, chainsaws, and recreational vehicles. Likewise, have knowledge of how they perform tasks ranging from routine maintenance to complex overhauls, involving both mechanical and electrical systems. The service technician should possess strong diagnostic, mechanical, and organizational skills, and often interact with customers to explain repairs and maintenance. In addition, performs a range of tasks which include checking oil, tire pressure, fluids, washing and basic preventive maintenance on the fleet vehicles. Maintains accurate records of work performed and other relevant information. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify issues with small engines, including mechanical, electrical, and fuel system problems, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
2. Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tune-ups, and component adjustments.
3. Disassemble engines, inspect parts for wear or damage, and reassemble engines with new or repaired components.
4. Order and manage replacement parts, keeping records of repairs, time spent, and parts used.
5. Communicate with customers about the issues with their equipment, explain the repair process, and provide instructions for maintenance.
6. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
