As a Sales Support Engineer you will provide technical and commercial sales support for Caterpillar Switchgear products. This includes assisting Outside Sales personnel and dealers with product application, and quotation support. Work on a team with other Sales Support Engineers who perform the same role for their assigned regions. The incumbent manages the completion of work assignments and coordinates closely with Outside Sales to support the dealers.
Working knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
Basic understanding and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Basic understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Working knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Experience or understanding around the electrical industry, power generation and/or distribution necessary.
Location of this position is Alpharetta, GA and does not offer relocation assistance. This position requires 5-day-a-week in office availability. 10% or less travel expected.
Summary Pay Range: $95,640.00 - $143,520.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
