Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience managing professional staff who manage construction or renovations projects and project budgets with a value of $1M or higher.
- Five or more years of experience managing construction or renovation projects from programming, design, construction, to project close out in a correctional or industrial environment.
- Two or more years of experience developing capital improvement plan for a large scale correctional, university, or industrial environment.
- Sound understanding of state purchasing rules and regulations.
Comments/Notes:
- The position is based in Forsyth, GA at SOSTC Headquarters and requires a minimum of 50 percent of the work week in Forsyth. The remainder of the work week is spent in the field on project site visits.
- This position serves as the Manager 2 who manages a team of Project Managers in the Design and Development unit who manage multiple capital improvement projects from inception, design, construction, to completion which includes budget tracking and purchasing responsibilities.
- Occasional overnight travel or long day trips are required.
