Under close supervision, the HR Generalist 1 is responsible for supporting human resources functions related to recruitment, onboarding, HR transactions, and employee services. This position works closely with leadership and hiring managers across the Georgia Building Authority (GBA), Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), and the State Properties Commission (SPC) to support workforce needs and ensure HR processes are handled accurately and efficiently. The incumbent develops and supports recruitment strategies, facilitates onboarding and New Employee Orientation (NEO), and processes a variety of HR transactions in TeamWorks HCM. The HR Generalist 1 plays a key role in delivering high-quality HR services and maintaining compliance with agency and state policies.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited college or university or two years of human resource experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in State Government, experience in recruitment and selection, Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, PHR/SPHR and or SHRM-SCP certification, HR transactions experience, position management experience, and Peoplesoft experience. Experience/exposure to GA@WORK.
