Responsibilities:
Under general supervision:
This position will serve to support our Engineering Technology program at the Hall County and Barrow County campuses. Courses include AC and DC Circuit Analysis, Solid State Devices, and Introduction to Engineering Technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university, with appropriate coursework that demonstrates competencies in specific course content. 3 years of paid work experience as an engineer, engineering technologist, or closely related occupation. Applicant must possess good people skills and basic computer skills. Ability to teach courses in one or more of the following areas:
Technical Competencies:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and professional attire. Ability to direct and assess students' progress in achieving required competencies. Skill to work cooperatively with students, faculty, and staff. Skill in the preparation and delivery of classroom content. Skill to make timely decisions. Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs. Decision making and problem-solving skills. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Oral and written communication skills.
