We're a tight-knit, diverse team that believes software innovation is at the heart of creating value with AI. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team of accomplished professionals to help design and deliver innovative AI solutions in a cloud environment. You'll leverage advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems, influence project direction, and mentor junior staff while working in a collaborative environment where people feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work.
Technical Leadership & Architecture: Lead design discussions, contribute to HLA/HLD documents, and solve complex problems using advanced technical concepts while making architectural decisions that optimize performance and maintainability
Project & Feature Ownership: Take responsibility for entire projects from design through deployment, collaborating with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
Mentorship & Team Development: Provide guidance and training to junior staff, set technical direction, and demonstrate leadership while contributing to strategic technical decisions across the organization
Production Excellence & Innovation: Troubleshoot complex production issues, champion CI/CD and security best practices, and drive adoption of emerging technologies while maintaining high engineering standards
Education & Experience: University degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience), with 5+ years of software engineering experience
Advanced Programming & Architecture: Expert-level Python/Java skills with deep OOP/FP knowledge, design patterns expertise, and proven ability to design complex systems and microservices architectures
Cloud & Data Technologies: Advanced AWS knowledge, distributed systems experience, serverless computing (Lambda), and understanding of data streaming platforms (Kafka) and analytics frameworks (Spark)
DevOps & Quality Leadership: Proficient in CI/CD tooling, advanced Git skills, testing-first mindset, and ability to debug complex production issues with systematic problem-solving approaches
Leadership & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to mentor team members, manage technical projects, and influence technical decisions across cross-functional teams
AI/ML Expertise: Advanced machine learning knowledge, AI engineering practices, and experience with ML frameworks in production environments
Advanced Architecture & DevOps: Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, advanced microservices patterns, SRE principles, and infrastructure as code
Strategic & Innovation Experience: Understanding of release cycles, ability to size complex development activities, and experience with proof-of-concept development and emerging technology evaluation
