Securities Operations Associate - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Securities Operations Associate - Hybrid for a 6 month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC.

This role is responsible for processing, reconciling, resolving, and administering cash, security, or derivative transactions. The ideal candidate will support Investment Policy Statement (IPS) processing and Separately Managed Account (SMA) client servicing tasks in a fast-paced, risk-minded environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or process extensive knowledge of systems
• Provide ideas for improving or implementing processes
• Perform moderately complex duties such as processing, researching inquiries and reconciling transactions
• Review time sensitive documents
• Provide training or work direction to less experienced staff
• Address compliance and corporate governance issues for the department
• Lead or participate in projects
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Interact with internal customers
• Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Requirements:

• 4 years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Skills:

• BS/BA degree or higher, preferably in a finance-related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment
• Solid problem solving skills
• Exposure to SEI Trust 3000 or a similar trust accounting system of record
• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
• Investment industry experience
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Pay range: $22.50 - $30.50 per hour
