Enterprise Voice And Video Engineer
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Enterprise Voice and Video Engineer for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role involves managing the design, configuration, and certification of large, complex enterprise voice and video systems as part of a major Telephony Platform Upgrade project. The engineer will interface with business areas, vendors, and internal partners to interpret diverse business requirements into technical collaboration and productivity solutions. The position requires providing technology roadmaps, producing technically excellent solutions, and serving as an expert consultant for major network initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong linkage with the Architecture and Solutions team to deliver standard designs and ensure compliance
- Participate in peer reviews for high and low level designs
- Take responsibility for the delivery of complex solutions on time and on budget
- Develop detailed, low-level technical designs for complex Enterprise Voice Solutions
- Ensure successful delivery of technical solutions into the production environment
- Provide L3 support to resolve complex and visible production issues as required
- Design to meet customer availability requirements and evaluate high-risk changes
- Provide subject matter expertise to line of business, relationship managers, and other network teams
- Identify risks and recommend remediation processes
- Engage with Product Management, Architecture, and partners to help drive technology roadmaps
- Develop and maintain specific architecture blueprints and design standards
- Develop testing strategy and technology certification plans
Requirements:
- BS or BA in engineering or computer science
- 10+ years of experience in the Voice and Collaboration industry, preferably in the financial industry
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and respond under pressure
- Expertise in voice technologies including SIP Trunking, SIP interworking, voice over IP protocols (H.323/SIP), IP PBX, and session management
- Expertise in Genesys, Cisco voice platforms, and unified communication and collaboration technologies
- Expertise in LAN/WAN technologies including wired/wireless LAN, data center networking, IP/MPLS, and Quality of Service (QoS)
- Experience with networking products such as routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls; knowledge of Juniper, Aruba, Arista, and Sonus/Ribbon is a plus
- Extensive technical experience with Cisco Voice collaboration platforms including Call Manager/CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, Webex, Expressway, Telepresence, and video end points
- Firm understanding of VMWare vSphere virtualization with ESXi and vCenter
- Sound working knowledge of SRTP, RTP, SCCP, SIP, and SIP interworking
- Broad working knowledge of call routing with QSIG, MGCP, CAC, H323, and SIP
- Firm understanding of TDM, VoIP, and call control disciplines
- Experience with Session Management, integrating Avaya Aura, Cisco SME, and Sonus/Ribbon products
- Experience with SIP and Traditional ISDN/PRI Trunking
- Experience with Sonus/Ribbon Gateway Technology (2K, 5K, 7K, 9K)
- Layer 2 VLANs experience and internetworking using BGP, ISIS, OSPF
- Extensive understanding of QoS standards for real-time media
- Experience with E911 configuration on Cisco products

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
