Our team is building next-generation autonomous platforms, integrating advanced sensors and embedded compute systems to deliver safe, intelligent, and scalable solutions. This is a strategic role with broad technical influence, offering opportunities to define architecture, drive innovation, and mentor the next generation of engineers.

As a Staff Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in defining subsystem-level strategy and influencing platform-wide architecture for sensors and embedded systems. This is a highly technical and strategic position—driving forward-looking solutions, optimizing system-level performance, and ensuring seamless integration across compute and sensor domains. You'll collaborate with world-class engineers and senior leadership to align technical vision with business goals, mentor others, and help shape the roadmap for next-generation autonomous platforms.

Autonomous systems depend on robust, forward-looking sensor and embedded architecture. Your leadership will set technical direction, ensure platform scalability, and influence industry standards, impacting millions of customers and shaping the future of mobility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define subsystem-level strategy and influence platform-wide architecture for sensors and embedded systems.
  • Lead development of technical specifications, requirements, and interface definitions for complex systems.
  • Drive architectural reviews and establish best practices for embedded development, including safety-critical aspects.
  • Conduct research and proof-of-concept for next-generation technologies; provide forward-looking recommendations to leadership.
  • Mentor engineers across levels and advocate for technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, product managers, and cross-functional teams to align technical vision with business goals.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

Required skills include:

  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, embedded systems, or sensor integration.
  • Recognized expertise in system engineering processes, embedded architectures, and safety-critical design principles.
  • Experience in one or more of our key technology areas: sensor platforms, operating systems, or middleware.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Preferred skills include:

  • Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety standards.
  • Ability to read/understand source code (C/C++) and system models.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Experience defining technical roadmaps and influencing platform-wide decisions.

What's in it for you:

  • Being a technical leader shaping the future of autonomous mobility.
  • Opportunities to define architecture and strategy for next-gen platforms.
  • Work on cutting-edge sensor and embedded technologies with broad visibility and impact.
  • Collaborate with world-class engineers and senior leadership in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
