Staff Quality Engineer

The Staff Quality Engineer drives software quality measures align with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices. Builds methodologies and processes for the collection and analysis of data for ensuring software quality. Develops change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies. Provides mentorship, coaching and/or training to others as appropriate. Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GM’s values and cultural behaviors. Models GM behaviors and builds a winning culture. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with calibration and sw stakeholders to understand the surface area of UI calibrations per display configuration
  • Leverage current calibration automation and provide input for further testing
  • Work to identify issues in vehicle, test proposed fix in cal override, file Jira to Cal Specialist to make the change, verify
  • Work closely with Cal DRE for the display configuration in integration
  • Work with CoreQA and Integration QA to fill gaps when found in testing and drive ensuring we have the test cases and test plans updated
  • Review and verify cal compares generated by Cal Specialist
  • Document all changes made to the calibrations and ensure changes are in Jira which is the source of truth

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}. This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
