Hybrid Position: Materials Of Painting
This position requires being physically present 3x a week (Tuesday to Thursday) in São Caetano do Sul - may require more times according to projects/demands.
Responsibilities:
- Support and direct all matters and problems of painting materials, of all plants in South America.
- Be a focal point and representative before the Global team, in the matters of painting materials of the region
- Be able to evaluate and act on problems related to new and existing products, in terms of product and manufacturing requirements
- Planning and execution of projects, involving all painting support areas
- Coordination and tracking of all areas
- Financial control of projects.
- Collect and store Lessons Learned continuously
- Utilize lessons learned whenever applicable.
- Identify requirements and needs of plant operation, process and maintenance.
- Define and execute strategies, together with all support areas
- Plan Validations, according to BoE, BoP, BoO, PCPs, TEBs, TIS and GTR.
- Develop descriptive memoranda for contracts (SOR).
- Develop Cost Book/AR based on benchmark.
- Scale critical items at the appropriate time.
- Meet the project schedule.
- Control all issues and project actions, including items from all support areas.
- Lead the resolution of PRTS process or material item problems.
- The work may involve the development and testing of advanced material technologies.
- Support in financial information and status of activities for report and Expense Control, Schedule and Capitalization.
- Actively participate in Global Conferences, presenting your plans or reviewing global standards.
- Evaluate and solve problems in the validation phase of Product and Process (PPV, MVB s / ns and SORP).
- Study the BoOs and the PCPs, access the PQRS system to check pending actions, elaborating a summary of the items pending, of the deviations requested by the plants and of what is not being attended.
- Schedule meetings with the plants to discuss the items, prepare the PCP level 3, with a goal of zero pending items in the BoOs and in the PCPs.
- All actions must be aligned with the Material Lead.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Experience in painting process controls
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemistry as a differential)
- Active CREA
- Intermediate English
- Full mobility for national and international travel. With long and constant periods.
- Full flexibility to work on weekends, holidays and in different shifts.
- Availability to work in São Caetano do Sul and be constantly present in the factories accompanying the development and implementation of projects.
- Demonstration of basic understanding of the process requirements involved in the manufacturing process
Desired Requirements:
- Knowledge of GM GVDP, BOP, BOE, GTR, PCP timings
- Advanced or fluent English

- Problem-solving, analysis, communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Demonstration of excellent analytical capacity, communication and interpersonal skills necessary to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues
- Demonstration of capacity to manage challenging projects and tasks with a high level of autonomy and responsibility for the results
- Demonstration of initiative to go beyond assigned tasks to improve results and/or help others

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}. The selected candidate will be required to travel at least 50% or more on a frequent basis. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
