Plant Industrial Engineer

This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to Factory ZERO – Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center on a full-time basis.

The Role

  • Plant Industrial Engineer responsible for working with production team leading projects to improve throughput and reduce waste in assigned area of the plant. As an plant industrial engineer, you will work with represented team members as well as non-represented production management of various levels.
  • This position will also be responsible for yearly standardized work validations, engineering change implementations, continues improvements, plant floor change implementations, proper part routings, workstation layouts, Ergo issues resolutions and overspeed evaluations.
  • This position is pivotal to the plant meeting productivity targets and budgets.

What You'll Do

  • You will be responsible for continuous improvement and productivity projects in area of plant, standard work and time maintenance, line balancing this could be in Paint Shop or General Assembly.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • previous line-balancing/reprocessing experience
  • Time analysis tools such as MODAPS, GM Standard Time, etc.
  • Degree requirement: Industrial Engineer or equivalent

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Preferred: AutoCad, Paint shop experience, manufacturing experience
