As a leader of Human Resources and Labor Relations at GM, you will lead a team of human resources professionals focused on the hourly and monthly population of GVT.
You will define and execute strategies for all HR processes and union relationships.
You will provide information and advice to manufacturing and non-manufacturing leaders on all human resources issues and day-to-day matters related to union and employee relations.
You will partner closely with the manufacturing and non-manufacturing team and the factory leadership team to provide agreements that allow the company to continue growing and transforming.
You will demonstrate successful negotiation and influence skills on people.
You will present relationship skills with the ability to collaborate and engage with various internal partners to achieve positive outcomes through persuasion and influence.
You will be attentive to the organizational climate by engaging the HRLR team and being 100% connected with the daily movements of the Shops, acting in a preventive and strategic manner to give visibility to Leadership when necessary.
You will work in partnership with the Communication area to conduct a transparent and assertive communication package throughout the year, in order to avoid interruptions and ensure that the factory floor receives the right information in a timely manner.
You will work closely with the Labor area and the Legal Department to ensure the business strategy in accordance with Labor Legislation, HR policies, principles and compliance.
You will identify training needs for business units and individual leadership coaching needs, including conducting necessary coaching for employees.
You will respond to employee relations issues, such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
You will analyze data and make strategic recommendations to stakeholders for corrective actions and continuous improvement regarding Hiring Profile, Retention, Absenteeism Strategy.
You will analyze data and make recommendations based on Exit Interviews to Business HR to take corrective action and continuous improvement.
You will act alongside the Medical Supervisor and Occupational Physician to resolve medical complaints with assertiveness.
You will develop strategies for business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning.
You will partner with management to conduct Performance Improvement discussions.
You will partner with the COE of Policy and Investigation to conduct and resolve complex labor relations issues with employees and investigations, working on improvements in the relationship between leadership and employees when necessary.
You will train, advise, and guide managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
You will support Leadership in the Action Plan regarding the Workplace of Choice Survey.
You will lead daily labor relations and employee activities, contributing important information about the work environment and union scenario.
You will maintain a good and effective relationship with the Union President, Directors, and Associates of the site.
You will participate and offer contributions to union negotiations, directing the main objectives throughout the site, involving the Communication Team and Leadership, ensuring that GM's objectives are met.
You will support and reinforce the concept of systemists for the Gravatai Automotive Industrial Complex, focusing on Human Resources and Labor Relations.
Graduation complete in ADM, HR, human area or Engineering, with expertise in HR.
Desirable Postgraduate.
Advanced English.
Proven experience in people management, human resources, and labor relations and union.
Strong negotiation, communication, leadership, and influence skills.
